07 Sep Batteries, true or false?
The batteries
have become an everyday and essential element in our daily life.
From powering our mobile phones to powering electric vehicles, their presence no longer surprises us.
OSMOEUROPA has not invented them but has applied their versatility and portability as an indispensable power source to ensure that the lifting motors can continue running even during a power outage, which could be crucial to keeping animals healthy and safe
Here we clarify the 6 most frequently asked questions
about their effectiveness and maintenance,
that still exist in our sector
1. Do OSMO motor-lifting batteries are special and/or expensive?
12V 7Ah or 5Ah lead-acid batteries we use are standard, affordable and readily available in any market, which makes them nothing exceptional but extremely practical
2.Is it difficult to know if the battery charge is enough?
Everything has been forseen.
Our regulators OCM, OCV2 and OCV3 have the function of displaying current charge parameters at any time or report any problems with the batteries with a blinking -b-.
Low battery charge would also be detected by the movement of the motor, which would be more forced than usual.
3.Do I have to change batteries often?
How often do we change the battery of our mobile phone?
About 300-500 charge cycles?
And it is almost completely discharged every day with the intensive use we give it.
However, the use of batteries in ventilation never leads to complete discharge,
being able to easily extend its useful life to 2-3 years.
As long as charging is done correctly and our instructions are followed
4.Is electricity still needed to keep the batteries charged?
Or rather, you need a source of energy.
Fresh air and energy needs are irreplaceable.
But our ventilation system consumes like a light bulb,
running and charging the batteries at the same time.
Which means energy savings.
And that’s not all.
Our DC lifting motors with batteries are a lifesaver for animals regardless of whether the installation is with solar panels, generator set or electric light 230V
5.Is it difficult to change the battery in an installed motor?
NO!
There are mobile phones with a much more complicated battery changing procedure.
As for our motors, it´s a piece of cake:
put the regulator in Manual mode and turn it off, unscrew the motor cover (or the external battery box cover), unscrew the battery holder, insert the new battery,
screw everything back on and turn on the regulator.
Ready!
6.Does the entire farm management system have to be changed to adapt it to OSMO lifting motors?
Not at all.
Our systems adapt to any management system through 0-10V signals or On/Off relay inputs.
Install, connect and go.
Do you like your system?
Are you used to it and don’t want to change?
Perfect!!
We will adapt to it with all our advantages
All the mentioned above makes that batteries in OSMO lifting motors are nothing exceptional but extremely practical,
in terms of safety and profitability
of livestock facilities
